‘Boost in static caravan and holiday park purchases’ says expert

Published 02/02/2012

EVEN though there have been a lot of reports that selling static caravans and lodges has been very difficult, recent records of boosting static caravan and holiday park sales have shown that there is still encouragement in the market. Parks located in scenic and popular locations continue to get interest, and some very recent sales of static caravans in Wooler’s Riverside Holiday Park and the famed River View Caravan Park, situated in Barnard Castle are proof of this going on. Sanderson Weatherall, an expert who has an accumulated knowledge for both of these existing parks named, did advise the previous owners about them. He said: “Some people are of the view that because of the successful sales, there is a potential for trading in the future, but this can also be attributed to an infrastructure that is sound and in place. This will only serve to minimize any capital on a major basis to only be of short-term in the future.” “Within the last year to year and a half, many of the clients we know have taken steps to increase the g occupancy and sales are estimated to escalate. They have employed their own creative ideas and methods to both attract and keep customers. As well as made investments in adding on more facilities and other services that go beyond the usual comforts. Some of the examples of these facilities and other services do include fitness studios and places for leisure activities. Now for the things that required less capital, they extend from hot tubs to nature trails to Wi-Fi that is free to use. If one looks ahead, cash will be there as a reigning king, as far as the commercial sector does go.”
