Shropshire park homes add coarse fishing

Published 02/02/2012

The park home and holiday home in Shrewbury can now enjoy coarse fishing when they stay there. Owned by Morris Leisure, the beautiful Oxon Hall Park is nestled on the edge of the county town in Shropshire. The fishing rights for the Oxon Pool has been granted by Shropshire Anglers Federation and the pool lies close to the Oxon Pool Park homes and Oxon Hall Touring Park. With the pool filled with rudd, roach, carp and beam along with a healthy population of pike, the pool is quite an exciting activity in addition to the stay in park homes. The natural pool is perfect for taking a walk around in the nature site or for anglers looking for a fishing spot. A day ticket can be purchased by people staying at the park home and in the £7, SAF membership. Managing director at Morris Leisure, Edward Goddard said: “Not just the park home owners but the touring caravan and static caravan owners get an opportunity to fish at the Oxon pool that has been enhanced. We think it is another reason that people may want to own a park home or just spend a vacation here.” “Located close to the Shrewsbury town center, it is easy to commute to the town by bus and enjoy the facilities of the restaurants, pubs and shops. Our park homes are well located to sightsee and explore the rustic charms of Welsh Marches and Shropshire,” said Edward. “Most of our park home owners enjoy expansive views of the lake, with a lot of bird watching and wildlife to view as you go for a walk around the area. The business seems to have improved with fishing facilities provided to the park home residents”
