Set in the lush Kent countryside is Hedge Barton Park which was originally an orchard. Although you are nearby Fordcombe village and Tunbridge Wells is just a bit further away from there, this residential park is very peaceful. Hedge Barton Park is one of the prettiest parks in the region with its countryside setting and being surrounded by trees.
A church, public house, and school are available in Fordcombe while Tunbridge Wells (4 miles from the park) offers additional amenities. There is plenty of greenery and parks to relax in, but you can take advantage of the amenities offered such as pubs, restaurants, and wide array of shops.
Within a few miles of Hedge Barton Park are Hever Castle, Penshurst Palace, and other places of interest. The castle and palace both have spectacular gardens that are open for public viewing. Other amenities include beautiful walks in Kent’s countryside, fishing, golfing, and lawn bowling.
On Thursdays and Fridays, you can ride the bus into Royal Tunbridge Wells or regular bus service to Fordcombe is available on a daily basis. There is a mainline railway station in Tunbridge Wells where you can catch a train to London and other cities while Gatwick Airport is only 20 miles from Hedge Barton Park.
